Our Projects & Services

We believe that we can make a difference through our effort, and all of our students are proving that ethos of action. Below are some of the various projects that our faculty and students have led from beginning to end.

If you’re looking to make a difference too and want to collaborate, reach out to us, we would love to work with you!

MountConnect is an online portal designed to help students access academic, campus, and community resources in one location. With MountConnect, students can connect with professors, view class information, and stay updated on university announcements. The platform is easy to use and helps students stay successful and involved on campus.

The Language Exchange Program works to pair you with a native English speaker who could meet over zoom as a means to practice your English skills for free. Our team is made of students and professors who want to make ELA available to Ukrainians affected by the war. No matter your level we will work with you and help you learn.

The MomsThrive app connects families with babies to healthcare providers and resources located in Dayton, Ohio. MomsThrive also helps people find free resources, such as food, diapers, cribs, and more. MomsThrive provides people with educational videos of real-life healthcare providers answering questions about prenatal care.

Mount Roar! is the official mobile app for Mount St. Joseph University, designed to enhance student engagement and campus life. It allows students to connect with classmates through in-app chats, view their class schedules, and stay informed about campus events and news. It also makes it easy to explore and stay involved with clubs.

Cicada Safari is a mobile app that lets users spot, track, and learn about cicadas in their area. Users can take photos, record sightings, and share them with a community of cicada enthusiasts. The app makes exploring nature fun and engaging while helping scientists collect valuable data about cicada populations.

Working closely with Bayley Senior Living, we’ve devised a system that can project a touchscreen interface on any surface. This is both fun and safe for residents, most of which are within an at-risk population. After a rigorous research and development period, the Moz Light came into being and remains a staple of our client’s facilities today!

Student Opportunities

cITe Scholars

Students in the cITe program have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience through research collaborations, work teams, and peer support roles. Research projects connect students directly with faculty mentors, while work teams—such as the social media team—allow them to represent cITe across various platforms. As Near Peers, students provide academic support and mentorship to classmates in courses where they’ve previously excelled.

“Serving as a Near Peer has given me the opportunity to build meaningful connections with both students and professors. Through supporting others, I’ve strengthened my own understanding of course concepts and developed valuable mentorship relationships with faculty.
